About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment, and ensuring the correct delivery and shipment of materials. The role supports assembly operations by moving materials to their points of use, maintaining orderly work areas, communicating shortages, and following safety and 5S practices. The position is identified as second shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in material handling.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of the JDE Material Handler Menu.
• Certified forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Perform work within takt/cycle time.
• Perform work according to work instructions.
• Provide and process movement of material to the point of use.
• Keep the work area clean by disposing of empty boxes and cardboard and keeping material around the assembly line orderly and neat.
• Inform appropriate personnel of material shortages.
• Check in and place materials from other cells.
• Operate a forklift.
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5S.
