About The Position

The Material Handler keeps production supplied with the materials, equipment, and support needed to operate efficiently. The role prepares and delivers raw materials to manufacturing areas, blends colorants and regrind, manages runners and scrap, and cleans and sets up drying, loading, grinding, and blending equipment. The position also responds to equipment alarms, stages materials and packaging, supports mold changeovers, performs routine equipment maintenance, and maintains an organized material-handling area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Valid driver's license.
Forklift license.
Good driving record.
Solid basic math skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to operate basic technology.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

Strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
Prior work in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in material handling.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper functioning of loaders and dryers at molding cells throughout the shift.
Respond to alarms related to dryers, loaders, and grinders.
Transport dryers, gaylords, and bins to molding cells.
Remove completed-run material from presses and replace it with new material.
Clean press loading systems during tool changeovers.
Clean and set up regrinding equipment at presses.
Retrieve full runner bins and replace them with empty runner bins.
Dump runner bins into runner gaylords.
Load full runner gaylords onto the scrap trailer.
Blend materials using the Tumbler.
Pre-dry material as necessary.
Set up gravimetric blending equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on drying, loading, and grinding equipment.
Request material and packaging from the warehouse and move it to the proper staging area.
Maintain order in the main plant material-handling area.
