About The Position

This role is responsible for auditing daily inventory reports, including transits, lost sales, back stock audits, deleted locations, receipt exceptions, and out of stock items. The position involves performing order and truck audits to ensure accuracy, developing customer relations, and identifying inventory-impacting problems through root cause analysis. The Material Handler will also prepare defective merchandise for disposition by contacting vendors, prepare shipments for return to vendors, and communicate with vendors, buyers, customers, and customer service regarding merchandise issues. Additionally, the role involves preparing manifests for salvage and scheduling pick-ups, adhering to DC housekeeping guidelines, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and ability to create charts.
  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management.
  • Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position.
