About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking a Material Handler for Inventory Control on the 3rd shift. This role involves various warehouse functions including receiving, put away, order filling, production support, and shipping. The Material Handler will operate lift trucks to move materials and parts, ensuring safe operation in high-traffic areas. Responsibilities also include conducting safety checks, using computer programs for data entry and information lookup, and performing cycle counts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to multitask, work in a team environment.
  • Read, basic math, remember, reason, analyze, organizational skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Will require repetitive motion and lifting items up to 40#’s.
  • Will use sit-down (FC, C5, SC, RM, TSP) and stand-up (RC, SP, TR, PR, PW) lift trucks, parts train cars, picking carts.
  • Must be able to stay stationary/traverse up to 8-10 hrs. per shift.
  • Frequently balance, push/pull, bend, kneel, and squat.
  • Occasionally reach above shoulder level and frequently lift and carry from 0 to 40 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing to step into lift truck.
  • Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, use feet to operate foot pedals, work at heights up to 30 ft., and do simple but firm grasping with both hands.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form with other people.
  • Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, weld flash, dust, solvents, grease, oil, and battery acid.
  • Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving functions, Part put away functions, Order filling, Production support, Shipping Functions.
  • Use lift truck to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.
  • Work safely on lift trucks in high traffic areas.
  • Place and remove loads from the floor, parts trains, and rack locations.
  • Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks.
  • Use various computer programs and perform basic data entry and periodic lookup of information.
  • Perform cycle counts and item counts as required.
