About The Position

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler II based in Tampa, Florida, reporting to the Production Manager. The role supports manufacturing operations by packing and bundling finished PVC conduit, monitoring products for defects, assisting with product start-ups and changeovers, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The position operates on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a stated pay estimate of $18.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Within the first three months, the employee is expected to pack and bundle PVC conduit according to packaging standards, learn the PVC pipe manufacturing process, assist with quality control—including monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and checking product color—and become forklift-certified.

Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Night shift experience.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing or general labor.

Responsibilities

Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications.
Update hour-by-hour boards.
Compare product or material colors, shapes, textures, or grades with templates or samples to verify quality standards.
Operate and observe machinery during production.
Assist with quality control duties using quality tools.
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
Follow safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions.
Pack and bundle PVC conduit according to packaging standards.
Monitor saw cuts, measure pipe length, and ensure product color is accurate.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
