About The Position

Atkore is hiring a Material Handler II based in Tampa, Florida, reporting to the Shift Lead. The role supports manufacturing operations by packing and bundling finished goods, monitoring products for defects, assisting with production start-ups and changeovers, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Within the first three months, the employee is expected to learn the PVC pipe manufacturing process, perform packaging and quality-control tasks, and become forklift-certified.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Manufacturing or general labor experience preferred.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications.
Update hour-by-hour boards and compare product or material colors, shapes, textures, or grades against templates or samples to verify quality standards.
Operate and observe production machinery and assist with quality-control duties using quality tools.
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
Follow safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
Pack and bundle PVC conduit according to packaging standards.
Assist with quality control, including monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and checking product color.
Learn the PVC pipe manufacturing process from start to finish and become forklift-certified within three months.
