About The Position

The Material Handler II supports movement, storage, and packaging of inventory at receipt and throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. The role performs entry- to intermediate-level warehouse tasks and has a primary area of responsibility, such as cycle counting or inventory audit, while supporting other functions as needed. This position is onsite in the factory Monday through Friday in a distribution and manufacturing setting.

Requirements

Prior experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving is required.
Must be able to pass stand-up forklift certification upon hire.
Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English well enough to use and interpret work and safety instructions effectively.
Strong listening skills and ability to follow direction.
Ability to constantly stand, walk, talk, and hear.
Ability to frequently move, push, pull, lift, or carry objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior inventory control experience preferred.
Prior forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
High school education or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform duties across warehouse functions, including shipping and packaging, receiving, packing, bagging, hardware, cycle counting, inventory audit, and put-away.
Package and ship sales orders; put away stock; pick parts and products for orders; stage, route, and load trailers.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, waves, and pallet jacks according to instructions and safety guidelines.
Perform in-line quality checks to ensure established quality standards are maintained.
Collaborate with associates and teams to improve operational processes, complete orders efficiently and accurately, and resolve problems.
Work in other functional areas based on business needs and demand levels.
Comply with safety rules, processes, and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
