About The Position

The Material Handler II supports daily receiving, storing, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods. The role uses motorized forklifts with attachments beyond standard blades and computerized warehouse management equipment, while maintaining inventory accuracy and facility safety. The position operates in a normal warehouse environment.

Requirements

Two years of warehouse operations experience in lieu of required coursework.
Experience using multiple forklift attachments, such as squeeze, slip-sheet, Drexels, and double-reach.
Basic mathematics skills and ability to perform simple calculations.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and across the company.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours when necessary.
Ability to work in severe heat or cold.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
Ability to lift 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate forklifts with attachments such as squeeze and slip-sheet attachments, as well as double-reach forklifts and Drexels.
Maintain working knowledge of warehouse setup and location identification.
Report shipping and receiving discrepancies.
Operate a Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT).
Load and unload products and materials.
Pull product, stock it, and stage it for order fills.
Pull orders for shipment and ensure shipments meet order specifications.
Routinely inspect equipment for maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure safe warehouse operation.
Continuously follow established safety protocols.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
