About The Position

Avery Dennison is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to support its operations team in Painesville, Ohio. The role keeps production moving by transporting and tracking inventory, handling freight, and maintaining safe, organized work areas. The schedule is 11:20 PM–7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Starting pay is $22.47 per hour, plus a $2.00-per-hour shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mathematical and technical aptitude.
Proficiency in computer data entry and ERP systems; MFG Pro is preferred.
Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing warehouse priorities.
Strong team orientation, clear communication, and willingness to help peers succeed.
Commitment to safety rules, standard operating procedures, and accurate, defect-free inventory.
Willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer demand.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, or warehouse logistics.
Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles, such as ELS/5S.
Experience with MFG Pro.

Responsibilities

Safely transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between receiving, storage, and production areas.
Safely load and unload trucks and tankers, and verify physical shipments against shipping and receiving paperwork.
Complete digital inventory transactions using MFG Pro/ERP, conduct physical cycle counts, and resolve stock discrepancies.
Maintain 5S housekeeping standards, promote safe work practices, and support facility recycling efforts.
Communicate shift updates, assist cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
