About The Position

FLOFORM Countertops, a Canadian company established in 1961 and recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, is seeking a Full Time Material Handler/Delivery Driver for its Local Abbotsford Branch. With its head office in Winnipeg, MB, FLOFORM operates 17 branches and 8 manufacturing facilities across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, manufacturing, selling, and installing over 20,000 premium surface countertops annually. The Material Handler/Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for the shipping and receiving of countertops and related products and transporting them to job sites.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills
High attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication
Basic computer skills with capability of learning new software
Must have valid driver’s license a clean criminal record and drivers abstract
Basic mathematical skills
Good measuring skills
Understanding of warehouse processes
Forklift operators’ certificate and/or able to obtain one
Physically fit

Responsibilities

Transports merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas including loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Delivers countertop orders to job sites, assisting in loading and unloading, in and around area
Performs pre-trip inspection of vehicle and provide information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any report problems
Maintains shipping & receiving dock in an orderly fashion
Maintains industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working conditions
Executes daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner
Maintains the work area clean, safe and organized
Lifts and carries merchandise as needed including waste disposal and recycling activities
Collects and disposes garbage and housekeeping activities
Other duties as assigned
