About The Position

This position is for a Material Handler 1 in Columbus, Nebraska, with a duration of 12 months. The pay rate is $22.70 per hour, which includes a shift differential. The work schedule is from 6pm to 6am on a rotating shift, including weekends. A High School diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. The role involves processing customer orders, picking and packing, using RF technology, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Responsibilities also include building and re-palletizing pallets for shipment, potentially performing dock manifest duties, and transporting pallets using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Safety, quality, and adherence to attendance policies are paramount. The role also requires cross-training in other warehouse positions and assisting as needed.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.

Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.

Ability to work under minimal supervision.
May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.

Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized Pallet Jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
Pick and pack orders.
Processing orders through RF technology.
Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
Re-palletizing products for shipment.
May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
May be required to transport pallets by walking MHE.
Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Must adhere to attendance policies.
Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
Understand organizational quality goals.
