About The Position

This position is for a Material Handler 1 in Columbus, Nebraska, with a duration of 12 months. The pay rate is $22.70 per hour, which includes a shift differential. The shift is from 6pm to 6am on a rotating schedule that includes weekends. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and possess a High School diploma or GED. A key requirement is the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. The role involves processing customer orders, picking and packing, using RF technology, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Responsibilities also include pallet building, re-palletizing products, and potentially dock manifest duties. Safety, quality, and adherence to attendance policies are paramount. Cross-training in other warehouse positions is expected.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.

  • Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized Pallet Jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processing customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
  • Pick and pack orders.
  • Processing orders through RF technology.
  • Maintaining an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
  • Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.
  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
  • May be required to transport pallets by walking MHE.
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to attendance policies.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
  • Understand organizational quality goals.
  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
