About The Position

This position is for a Material Handler 1 with a 3-2-2-3 schedule, including weekends, working from 7 PM to 7 AM. The role involves processing customer orders, picking and packing, palletizing, and ensuring accuracy and proper packaging for shipments. The job requires adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation guidelines, as well as cross-training in other warehouse positions. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and will be working near moving mechanical equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of previous experience driving a forklift, no exceptions.
  • High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
  • Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • General distribution knowledge.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.

  • 10 Panel Drug Screen Required-CANDIDATE MUST COMPLETE DS WITHIN 48 hours of acceptance of job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with previous work experience driving a Stand Up Forklift will have first preference.
  • Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized Pallet Jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processing customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
  • Pick and pack orders.
  • Processing orders through RF technology.
  • Maintaining an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
  • Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.
  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
  • May be required to transport pallets by walking MHE.
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to attendance policies.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
  • Understand organizational quality goals.
  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
