About The Position

BlueScope is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other mobile equipment and carry out intermediate and complex material-handling activities. The work includes receiving inventory, loading and unloading, and staging and moving raw materials and finished goods within or near a plant, yard, warehouse, or work site. Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods onto or from pallets, industrial racks, trailers, trucks, and other locations.
• Transport materials from storage or production areas and place them in designated areas.
• Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Track material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, including 5-S practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
