About The Position

This position delivers high-quality onsite appraisal services for auto property damage claims. The appraiser conducts field inspections, prepares accurate estimates, handles onsite supplements, and manages customer drive-in appointments. The role also supports related claim processes, including subrogation, salvage, total loss evaluations, and SIU referrals. It requires technical expertise in damage assessment, estimating platforms, negotiation, and claim resolution. The appraiser must live in the Miami, Florida area and work independently in the field with minimal supervision, while serving as a knowledgeable resource for other claims personnel.

Requirements

Must live in the Miami, Florida area.
Five years of property and casualty insurance background, including a minimum of three years of automotive appraisal experience.
Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements.
Spanish-English bilingual proficiency.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform photo-based and onsite vehicle inspections to assess auto property damage.
Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using approved estimating platforms.
Identify repair needs and negotiate them with repair facilities.
Ensure prompt and timely resolutions in accordance with company goals and guidelines.
Conduct onsite supplement reviews with repair facilities.
Evaluate total loss vehicles according to company guidelines.
Handle special projects as needed.
Complete compliance training to meet state and federal laws.
Continue education to hold and maintain required licenses.
Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
Serve as a technical resource for claims personnel and assist with complex claim scenarios.
Build strong working relationships with repair facilities, vendors, and internal teams.
