About The Position

The Material Coordinator analyzes the Authorized Project Stockage Levels (APSL) and recommends revisions to stockage levels in support of Mission, Type, and Design Series (MDS) specific fleets. This role requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. The coordinator arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and collaborates with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments. They ensure proper logistics support is maintained and problems are identified. This position involves maintaining related records, reviewing inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material. The Material Coordinator also monitors and provides additional Supply Section Support as required. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, tool kits, replacement parts, shop supplies, and related equipment such as measuring devices. They maintain a record of tools issued to and returned by workers, search for lost or misplaced tools, prepare periodic or perpetual inventory, and requisition stock as needed. Additionally, they unpack and store new equipment, attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, manually load or unload freight, unpack items, and place them in proper storage locations. The role also requires visually inspecting tools or measuring with a micrometer for wear or defects and reporting damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. Finally, they verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of Material Coordinator experience
  • Two or more years in support of aviation supply
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization NAC-I T1 Public Trust
  • US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ACN (Aircraft Notebook), GCSS-Army, or equivalent US-Army supply system
