About The Position

The Engineering Technician is responsible for the overall coordination & scheduling of TMDE tracking, maintenance, and load tests to include thermometers, lab (bench) weights, and gauges (as an example). This role is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. All positions are onsite, unless otherwise stated.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (2) Years of Calibration (TMDE) Experience, Associates of Arts Degree, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License.
  • OR Minimum of (4) Years of Calibration (TMDE) Experience, High School Diploma/GED, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License.
  • OR Served in the US Military and retained a Logistics – Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in a related capacity for a Minimum of (3) Years, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Army regulation 750-43.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting various tasks to include TMDE Asset tracking, yearly maintenance scheduling, repair orders, data collection, repairs, and add or delete to U.S. Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA), Test Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Integrated Materiel Management System (TIMMS) Listing.
  • Maintaining files of TMDE assets in an internal database.
  • Following all internal & external procedures/SOPs.
  • Inputting and tracking the monthly report from USATA and recording accordingly.
  • Performing on-site pick-up and delivery of TMDE assets throughout the Center.
  • Performing on-site pick-up and delivery of TMDE assets to the APG-North USATA Lab (TSL).
  • Assisting with proper labeling of devices to include, DA Label 80, DA Label 163 (Limited or Special Calibration), Calibration Not Required (CNR), and Calibration Before Use (CBU) labels.
  • Tracking and recording USATA “On-Site” (Center) testing and scheduling.
  • Escorting of USATA Technician (may require).
  • Tracking third-party ISO Certification Testing of CBC TMDE Assets.
  • Keeping, filing, and recording all TMDE (USATA & ISO) Calibration Certificates.
  • Performing database entry and cataloging within internal database.
  • Following directions from Supervisor and Government Leadership while also able to work independently and as part of a team and adhere to policies.
  • Supporting customer schedules in scheduling repairs and annual requirements.
  • Maintaining records for accountability and to an audit standard.
  • Supporting excellence in customer service and delivering excellent customer service both to internal and external customer while having the ability to work collaboratively to build professional working relationships with colleagues, coworkers, and customers.
  • Identifying safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders.
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate files and providing documentation to Government Lead when requested.
  • Providing and assisting with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix of all related matters.
  • Ensuring all administrative functions/paperwork is in order relative to receipt documentation, work orders, or internal paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and being attentive to detail.
  • Supporting the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.
  • Other duties as assigned.
