About The Position

The Material Control Analyst II will accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. This position is responsible for all the functions that support the flow of materials from inventory to the production line. This role is also responsible for problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Completion of / working towards an Associate’s (2-year) degree – or, Minimum 5 years’ experience in material control duties / responsibilities
  • Knowledge of all database programs used and their impact on material control functions (to include Titan, MASS, and/or SAP as required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems
  • Solid proficiency using MS Office software, particularly with Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
  • Proven high level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work and data entry, including stock locations and tag accuracies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing (including e-mail), and to train others
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation
  • Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain regular material control reports for management
  • Updates inventory management system
  • Tracks part number adjustments
  • Updates and monitors inventory adjustments
  • Develops part-to-part transfers
  • Investigates inventory error and location/assignment errors
  • Assists in internal and external material audits
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
  • Collaborates closely with Buyers/Sales, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to resolve issues and improve material flow
  • Completes all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required
  • Ability to work/collaborate with Operations team for problem solving activities and continuous improvements
  • Leads root cause analysis for material-related disruptions and implement sustainable corrections
  • Leads cycle count programs, inventory accuracy initiatives, and physical inventory execution investigations
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
