About The Position

Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Material Analyst to join them. You will report to the Materials Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in material handling role or freight handling role.
  • Forklift experience a plus, with ability to successfully complete Moog forklift certification.
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull materials weighing between 50 and 100 pounds, and safely operator material-handling equipment such as dollies.
  • Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle, manage, and transport chemical materials in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Understand and follow Moog's documentation, refer to purchase orders, spreadsheets, inventory data, and MRP data/reports.
  • Process and submit material related workflows.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, including freight handling and documentation verification.
  • Gather documents and other information required to support audits.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts
  • Perform assigned tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments as operation needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
