Spring 2027 - Master's Level Internship

Youth Villages•Louisville, KY

About The Position

Youth Villages offers paid internship opportunities for master's students in select residential and community-based programs. Placements are determined during the interview process based on availability, academic requirements, and the intern’s experience. Youth Villages works with interns and their academic programs to design placements that meet practicum needs and class schedules and support obtaining course credit. Internships also provide professional experience beyond academic requirements. Opportunities are offered nationwide during the fall and spring semesters, with select Tennessee locations available in summer. Positions are limited, and offers are made on a rolling basis. The Master's Level Intern shadows counselors during home- and community-based family sessions, carries a reduced caseload, implements interventions, and facilitates therapy sessions. Interns use evidence-based practices, participate in weekly professional-development meetings and clinical trainings, transport clients to locations as needed, and complete timely documentation in an electronic medical record system. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served.
