YOUTH VILLAGES, INC.•Greenville, NC

About The Position

Youth Villages offers paid internship opportunities for students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees across select residential and community-based programs. Placement depends on availability, academic requirements, and the applicant’s experience. Youth Villages works with interns and their academic programs to design placements that meet practicum needs and class schedules, including course-credit requirements. Internships are offered nationwide during the fall and spring semesters, with select Tennessee locations available during the summer. Offers are extended on a rolling basis, and spots are limited. The Master's Level Intern shadows counselors during home- and community-based family sessions, carries a reduced caseload, implements interventions, and facilitates individual, group, and/or family therapy. The intern uses evidence-based practices, attends weekly professional-development meetings and clinical trainings, provides transportation as needed, and completes accurate, timely documentation in an electronic medical record system. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. Applicants must be actively pursuing a master’s degree in a social services discipline.
