About The Position

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a residential treatment and educational center for youth and their families. The Ranch helps troubled and complex children become their best selves by providing unparalleled care, expertise, and presence to prevent them from becoming troubled adults. The Ranch is currently accepting applications for the 2027 Spring Semester internship opportunities on its Minot Campus. This internship is unpaid. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional clinical counselor, an intern actively engages with youth, families, and internal and external resources to ensure the needs and goals of the youths are met. The Masters of Social Work Intern contributes to the treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team by providing individual, group, and family counseling. The Ranch embraces a strong culture of learning and supports Masters of Social work Interns in gaining experience and skills to obtain licensure within their field.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a Masters of Social Work program.
• Senior graduating in the next 1-3 semesters (or in a pathway program).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including child abuse.
