About The Position

The internship with LattaHarris offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the accounting field and to learn from seasoned professionals. The intern will assist with various accounting tasks, provide support to our team members, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry tasks including, but not limited to inputting financial transactions into accounting software
• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and documentation
• Support senior staff members with auditing procedures and compliance tasks
• Assist with tax preparation tasks including organizing documents, data entry, and calculations
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance accounting knowledge and soft skills
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to professional standards and ethics
• Assist with special projects and initiatives assigned by supervisors
