About The Position

The Master Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards, building customer loyalty through trust and confidence in AutoNation’s care for vehicle safety and reliability. The role uses factory training, tools, and technical resources to deliver accurate repairs and an exceptional customer experience. Success is measured by achieving targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index goals. The stated pay is $59 per flag plus overrides; pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Requirements

• Mopar / Stellantis certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training, varying based on store needs.
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that is maintained.
• Passion for cars and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations to support vehicle safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal technician tools that are not inventoried by the Service department as special tools.
• Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to encourage customer loyalty.
• Achieve targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index goals.
