About The Position

Tire Outlet is a complete automotive repair business offering services including tire and oil changes, air conditioning, and tire service. The Master Automotive Technician/ Mechanic diagnoses and repairs customer vehicles effectively and efficiently while following MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturer, and Tire Outlet Automotive standards. The role also includes explaining diagnoses and repairs, documenting recommendations, following safety procedures, and maintaining relevant ASE certifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably at least one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work at least five days per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications and experience.
• Perform work listed on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order efficiently and accurately.
• Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services needed to keep customers’ vehicles in running condition and document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew certifications before they expire.
