About The Position
HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is hiring a part-time Massage Therapist for a premier client site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The therapist will provide professional massage services that support the health, wellness, and overall well-being of members and guests. Services are provided 1–2 times per month, preferably on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, for 4–6 hours per day. This is a commission-based position, and the final wage offer depends on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Requirements
- A massage therapy license for the state of Pennsylvania.
- Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute.
- At least 2 years of massage therapy experience.
- Ability to use electronic onboarding and timecard systems.
- Experience with sports massage techniques.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills.
- Must meet hiring requirements, including a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage services to members and guests.
- Perform multiple massage modalities and adjust delivery to meet each customer's needs.
- Understand body treatments and learn the products and services offered.
- Provide on-site chair massage in a corporate setting, including incidental travel, setup, and teardown, as well as massage in a spa-like fitness center environment.
- Participate as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team.
- Support department-wide events and strategies.
