About The Position
As a Massage Therapist, your developed skills and exceptional customer service provide relief, comfort, and important education to clients. The position of Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for developing a full-capacity practice, providing educational venues for Clifton Springs Hospital & clinic staff, community, and assisting other professional staff within The Springs.
Requirements
- Successful completion of NYS-recognized massage school
- NYS licensure as a massage therapist.
- Compassionate, kind, and patient-focused
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy (Swedish, Deep Tissue and Signature), hydrotherapy and other bodywork treatments for clients; assist in poultices and other special treatments; demonstrate evaluation skills, palpation accuracy and recognize contraindications to treatment
- Assist with educational programs for hospital staff and community; participate in research projects; write articles both in concert with other practitioners and alone
- Spa Attendant duties as assigned (housekeeping, maintaining supplies, assisting other practitioners with rooming, etc.)
