Massage Therapist (Hospice)
About The Position
Moments Hospice is hiring a Massage Therapist to provide personalized massage therapy interventions that alleviate patients’ symptoms and promote relaxation, comfort, and well-being. The therapist works under the direction of the Clinical Director and follows each patient’s individualized care plan. The role involves patient assessment, treatment, observation and reporting of patient responses, and timely maintenance of patient records. It offers autonomy and variety in hospice care, collaboration with the clinical team, on-call support, structured training, and opportunities for educational and professional development. The position is described as on the road.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with at least 500 hours of training.
- Hold current licenses or certifications required by state law.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of the National Certification Exam (NCTMB).
- One year of experience as a Massage Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to each patient’s individualized care plan.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Perform massage therapy to alleviate symptoms and promote relaxation and comfort.
- Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records within 24–48 hours of sessions.
