Massage Therapist - Part Time (Paris LV)
About The Position
The Massage Therapist provides guests with excellent customer service, massages, and body treatments. The role delivers personalized, professional service and expert massage and body treatments suited to guest needs and within the time allotted. The therapist explains spa offerings, compares services, and recommends or upsells treatments. The position also involves maintaining treatment rooms and work areas, following cleanliness and safety protocols, and responding professionally and promptly to guest requests and concerns. The therapist works unsupervised for extended periods, may perform other tasks assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager, and is expected to troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Two years of massage therapy experience at a resort or high-level country club.
- Proper training and certificates for services provided; certifications must be produced upon hire.
- High school diploma.
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Ability to stand up to nine hours per day; task duration may vary.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, perform repetitive motions, listen, hear, and maintain visual acuity.
- Ability to operate computers, online booking platforms, printers, and two-way radios.
- Comfort working around guests who may be undressed.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, positive, professional service to guests and team members; initiate and engage in friendly, professional conversations.
- Administer expert massage and body treatments for varied purposes and needs within the specified time frame.
- Provide consistent professional treatments according to training and accepted certification practices.
- Care properly for equipment and products used.
- Explain spa offerings clearly, compare services on the menu, and recommend or upsell spa services.
- Handle guest questions and concerns courteously and respond to requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.
- Continue professional education.
- Work unsupervised for extended periods.
- Follow treatment-room setup and cleanliness protocols, including extensive cleaning between clients.
- Maintain a healthy appearance, positive attitude, and clean, safe, stocked, and organized work area; maintain spa cleanliness and work an entire shift in a mask as directed.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer treatments to male and female guests professionally and follow bloodborne pathogen procedures.
