About The Position

The Massage Therapist performs spa services according to established guidelines and strives to exceed guest expectations. The role supports the Choctaw Experience by maintaining Choctaw Expectations and Brand Standards. The position reports to the Spa Director and is part-time, with a flexible schedule needed. The stated average rate is $40.00 per hour, including tax, commission, and tips; this average rate is not guaranteed.

Requirements

Maintain all current licenses and certifications required at the state and local levels.
Be efficient and able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Have excellent verbal and written skills.
Have one year of massage therapy experience.

Responsibilities

Keep work areas clean and set up according to procedures; clean and disinfect equipment daily.
Understand and use universal precautions when providing services, and assess guest contraindications that may prevent a service.
Maintain knowledge of products and all spa services currently offered.
Suggest beneficial spa treatments and recommend at-home products, achieving a minimum service-to-sales ratio of 5%.
Perform menu treatments supported by current certifications, and begin and end all treatments.
Understand product ingredients and explain their benefits to guests while answering questions professionally and knowledgeably.
Inform the Spa Supervisor or Spa Director of product needs.
Assist staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to maintain the facility and prepare for special events.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
