About The Position

The Massage Therapist performs spa services according to established guidelines and guest expectations while maintaining Choctaw Expectations and Brand Standards. The role includes providing treatments from the services menu within current certifications, maintaining a clean and properly prepared work area, using universal precautions, and assessing guest contraindications. The therapist maintains knowledge of spa services and products, recommends relevant treatments and products for home use, and communicates product needs to spa leadership. The position reports to the Spa Director and requires a flexible schedule. The stated average rate is $40.00 per hour, including tax, commission, and tips; this average is not guaranteed.

Requirements

Maintain all current licenses and certifications required at the state and local levels.
Be efficient and able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Have excellent verbal and written skills.
Have one year of massage therapy experience.

Responsibilities

Keep work areas clean and set up according to procedures; clean and disinfect equipment daily.
Understand and use universal precautions when providing services.
Assess guest contraindications that may prevent a service from taking place.
Maintain excellent product knowledge and knowledge of all currently offered spa services.
Suggest beneficial spa treatments and recommend products for home use, maintaining a minimum service-to-sales ratio of 5%.
Perform treatments listed on the services menu according to current certifications, and begin and end all treatments.
Understand product ingredients, answer guest questions professionally, and explain product benefits.
Inform the Spa Supervisor or Spa Director of product needs.
Assist staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to maintain the facility and prepare for special events.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
