About The Position

The Massage Therapist provides professional massage and body treatments to guests in a safe, effective, and guest-focused manner. The role calls for knowledge of massage techniques, strong communication, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional wellness experience in a resort spa.

This is a seasonal position intended to support increased business during specific times of the year. At the end of the season, the role may transition to on-call status based on business needs and performance.

Requirements

• Valid state massage therapy license or certification, as required by local regulations.
• Available to work weekends.
• High school diploma.
• At least two years of experience in a similar role within the spa industry.
• Working knowledge of general spa modalities and professional spa products.

Responsibilities

• Perform massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and other specialty modalities based on training.
• Consult with guests about their needs, goals, medical considerations, and areas of concern.
• Maintain accurate and confidential guest treatment records.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, equipment, linens, and work areas in accordance with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage appointment schedules, begin and end sessions on time, and provide high-quality customer service.
• Stay current on industry trends, continuing education requirements, and professional licensing standards.
• Collaborate with team members to support a positive, welcoming environment for guests.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and code-of-conduct expectations.
