About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company serving the commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite industries. The Masking Technician prepares aerospace components for processing operations, including painting, coating, and chemical treatments. The role applies masking materials to protect specified component areas from processing materials while ensuring precision and quality. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

This position requires access to EAR- or ITAR-controlled technologies. Applicants must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and meet the requirement of being a U.S. citizen. Requirements

• Previous experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and meet the requirement of being a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Apply tapes, plugs, and liquid masks to aerospace components according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect components before and after masking for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of masking processes, including materials used and time spent on each task.
• Work with technicians, engineers, and quality control personnel to support workflow and quality output.
• Maintain and clean masking tools and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
