About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Fleet/Diesel Technician to maintain tractors, trailers, and refrigerated trailer units in its private, company-owned fleet. The company’s fleet shops maintain more than 3,000 tractors and trailers across 11 locations in the United States. Technicians receive onboarding and ongoing training, are paid hourly rather than by flat rate, and work with safety lifts and an organized parts room. The company provides heavier specialty tools; technicians bring basic tools.

The position is based at 1500 N. River Road, Lithia Springs, Georgia, and is scheduled for the second shift, four days per week. Pay is based on experience, with listed technician rates of $22.16–$28.45 per hour, a $1.50 hourly incentive, and the opportunity to earn up to $31.60 per hour. Additional compensation may include a second- or third-shift differential, a CDL A bonus, an annual tool allowance, a boot allowance, and a quarterly safety bonus.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver's license.
• Must be able to communicate in English in writing, speaking, and reading.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Diesel tractor-trailer experience is preferred.
