About The Position

Jim Coleman Jaguar Land Rover is seeking an experienced Maryland Licensed State Inspector (MSI) with Jaguar Land Rover experience to join its service team. The technician will perform Maryland State Safety Inspections, diagnose mechanical concerns, and complete necessary repairs while maintaining Jaguar Land Rover service and safety standards. The role supports dealership service and vehicle reconditioning operations and requires efficient, high-quality work in a luxury dealership environment.

Requirements

• Current Maryland State Inspector (MSI) license.
• Previous Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) service or repair experience.
• Strong automotive diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience working with luxury or European vehicles.
• Familiarity with Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic systems, tools, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a service team.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Jaguar Land Rover manufacturer training or certifications.
• ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in accordance with state regulations.
• Inspect Jaguar, Land Rover, and other vehicles for safety, mechanical, and operational concerns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety-related services.
• Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Identify and document recommended repairs based on inspection findings.
• Support dealership service and vehicle reconditioning operations.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, repair orders, and service documentation.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and workplace safety procedures.
