About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging instructors to lead our after-school program, which combines Martial Arts, Zumba, and STEM activities for students in grades K-5. Classes are held Monday through Friday, typically in 60-minute blocks between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. We offer multiple class date options at our Brooklyn location.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or instructing children.
- Proficiency in Martial Arts, Zumba, or STEM subjects.
- Ability to manage a classroom of K-5th grade students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with after-school programs.
- Background in education or child development.
- Certifications in Martial Arts, Zumba, or relevant STEM fields.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct students in Martial Arts, Zumba, and STEM activities.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with program goals.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and age groups (K-5th grade).
