About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative After School Instructors to lead engaging classes in Origami, Pottery, and STEM for students in grades K-5. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences and fostering a fun, educational environment. Classes are typically 60-minute blocks and run between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5 grade level.
- Proficiency in Origami, Pottery, and/or STEM concepts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be available to teach on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
- Background in art education or STEM education.
- Experience with curriculum development for children.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct classes in Origami, Pottery, and STEM for students in grades K-5.
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Prepare and organize materials for each class session.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the age and developmental level of the students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
- Maintain attendance records and provide feedback on student progress.
