About The Position

We’re looking for a motivated Marketing Strategist to support our sales and customer care teams within Principal’s Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) business. In this role, you’ll help execute our B2B marketing strategy by coordinating initiatives, managing processes, and partnering with marketing segment leads to support the advisor and client experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of related work experience helping to building strategic marketing programs that deliver strong results
  • Must have basic to intermediate level of knowledge of the marketing profession and modern marketing strategies
  • Solid strategic and critical thinking skills
  • An understanding of the competition, market opportunities and customer experience
  • Experience partnering with or supporting a sales organization
  • Ability to translate data analytics into results
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial services or retirement industry
  • Ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve proactively and build strong internal relationships
  • General understanding of Principal business, products and industry along with understanding or experience with identified audience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of B2B marketing campaigns and initiatives aligned to strategic priorities
  • Partner with segment marketers to support program delivery and day-to-day marketing needs
  • Manage Continuing Education program
  • Manage and oversee the firm collateral approval process
  • Elevate brand awareness by supporting awards program
  • Support reporting needs to measure effectiveness and inform future efforts
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects, helping the team stay agile and responsive
  • Work closely with marketing, compliance and operations to support initiatives that enhance the client and sales experience.
