About The Position

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible to assist with the direction and implementation of marketing planning and development, and pricing strategy policy and procedures, under the direction of the VP of Sales & Marketing. Gives thoughtful input regarding product specifications, product development and introduction, product improvement; and marketing research. Analyzes and reports on competitive sales efforts.

Requirements

  • Ability to relate constructively to the customer, representatives, and to various departments of the Company.
  • BSEE or BSBA with strong technical background.
  • 2 years experience in marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of publishing software and understand the use of digital photography
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assisting and supporting implementation of soundly developed planning, management, and communication skills as they relate to the marketing, advertising, and product introduction efforts.
  • Developing sales marketing aides and materials; planning and conducting special drives.
  • Managing the inflow of market and competitive information, new opportunities, customer needs.
  • Establishing sources of information to be informed concerning industry trends, competitive activities, market opportunities, and customer needs. Communicating significant information promptly to concerned units of the Company, particularly with respect to competitive summaries and analysis.
  • Planning, directing and administering the marketing communications efforts of the company. Managing the marketing communications program and all relevant activities relating to product literature, website, promotional materials, product photography, advertising, publications media, internal technical, publications and inquiry processing.
  • Administering departmental budget including forecasting, proposals and recommendations for all marketing department expenditures. Tracking all expenditures for tradeshow, designers, materials and services.
  • Participating in the creation of new brochures, technical datasheets and promotional materials, authoring text (interfacing with engineering department on content), supervising vendors in the graphic design, photography, and final production; negotiating contracts and schedules with vendors.
  • Administering and directing the trade show/exhibits efforts of the corporation, including responsibility for annual expenditures, schedule, negotiation of contracts and implementation of show logistics, marketing communications events and promotions. Coordinating with inTEST marketing department for certain shared-booth trade show efforts.
  • Creating trade show graphics, including the direction of vendors regarding design and production.
  • Responsible for advertising and new product release campaigns, authoring and distributing news releases to trade publications worldwide, negotiating contracts and evaluating results. Coordinating advertising and press efforts with international distributors, as required.
  • Using desktop publishing system, designing datasheets, application notes and other collateral materials, supervising the production of such literature pieces with service bureaus and printing firms.
  • Writing Technical Bulletins, announcements and other internal communications, disseminating materials to sales department, sales representatives and distributors.
  • Coordinating and administering logistics, including production of materials and assisting sales team in preparing presentations for Worldwide Sales Training Meetings.
  • In cooperation with Engineering department, maintaining inventory number/revision control of all collateral material, including documentation of content changes through the company’s inventory control system.
  • Administering a portfolio on the company-wide network (LAN), containing product photography, literature, technical bulletins and other technical materials to facilitate quick response to inquiries and other sales efforts.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
