About The Position

Innovative Ink Publishing, an imprint of Kendall Hunt Publishing, Higher Education Department, is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to join our team to provide creative ideas and assistance in achieving our goals. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies to promote the brand, products, and services of the organization. This role involves creating compelling content, managing campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging across various channels. This position will work in the home office in Dubuque, Iowa. Salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Proficient in using various technologies (computers, tablets, cell phones, social media apps) with the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Proficient and applied knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software.
  • Familiarity with both PC and Macintosh environments
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Available to work out of our Dubuque, Iowa home office

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the execution of adoption campaigns for academic titles
  • Develop and deploy marketing campaigns across digital, email, print, and social media channels and maintain a consistent tone and voice
  • Support marketing initiatives for retail efforts, including book signings, events, promotions, and partnerships
  • Assist with outreach efforts such as awards submissions, podcasts, and media placements
  • Assist in researching and developing retail marketing strategies to increase consumer visibility, sales and the latest industry news
  • Support promotional approaches that enhance point-of-sale effectiveness and retail presence
  • Contribute and Manage day-to-day social media activity, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and audience engagement
  • Fulfill internal requests related to author marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure timely execution of deliverables
  • Maintain organized documentation and reporting on campaigns, projects, and author activities
