About The Position

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Ink Technician opening at the VR1 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Ink Dept Supervisor. Requirements

  • Ability to be self-directed and to multi-task
  • Must be able to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of a formula database program.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 - 70-pound ink drums

Nice To Haves

  • Plate, Ink and/or Press Department experience
  • Last performance review was rated "Performer" or higher (for internal applicants).
  • No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 days (for internal applicants).
  • Must have been in current role for more than 120 days (for internal applicants).

Responsibilities

  • Servicing the ink department customers in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for returning ink from completed jobs at press, capturing solvent usage, and returning ink to its proper location as well as data input into PRISM on returned ink.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of ink adhesives and solvents as assigned.
  • Receive and verify materials to ensure accuracy of orders.
  • Provides data to PRISM in support of the manufacturing, sales and materials information system.
  • Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals.
  • Able to assist in the daily changeovers on the presses while maintaining the ink / solvent needs.
  • Understand and be able to contribute to the waste reduction needs of the department.
