About The Position

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets, and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. The company has operated since 1962 and is nationally recognized as a member of Ward's Top 50 and rated A++ by A.M. Best. The Marketing Representative is responsible for qualifying leads and soliciting business through agents, wholesalers, brokers, and direct channels. The role develops agency relationships, schedules qualified appointments, conducts in-person cold calls, explains insurance policy features, and submits qualified business to Underwriting. The representative also maintains regular communication and visits with Preferred and Firemarked Agents.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Current Property and Casualty license.
At least one year of previous experience selling commercial insurance with a carrier or agency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, growing environment.

Nice To Haves

Two to four years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop new Preferred Agency and Firemarked Agency relationships.
Solicit business using the in-house software system and its preloaded leads.
Develop a fixed number of planned and qualified appointments each week.
Perform in-person cold calls weekly.
Explain the features and merits of offered policies and recommend coverage amounts and types based on analysis of prospects' circumstances.
Develop referrals from each qualified appointment.
Submit complete, qualified submissions to an Underwriter for processing, with a request for quotation, while following the Code of Business Conduct.
Maintain communication with and visit each Preferred or Firemarked Agent at least once per quarter.
