About The Position

National Life Group is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to help build a modern marketing infrastructure with clear planning, execution, and reporting processes. This is a foundational, operationally focused role within Marketing & Brand, supporting the team's core processes, planning cycles, and project prioritization to drive efficiency and operational excellence. Partnering across marketing functions, the Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of marketing initiatives from intake and planning through implementation and release while managing resources and keeping work on track. This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player equally comfortable working autonomously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including advanced Excel skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CSM, PMI-ACP, or PMP certification.
  • Experience with Workfront, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Develop actionable plans to deliver projects on time and within budget, working across departments to align stakeholder needs with project scope and resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound marketing project requests, specifications, and desired outcomes from internal and cross-departmental business partners.
  • Collaborate with business partners, Marketing & Brand teams, and subject matter experts to define project direction, creative strategy, and business objectives for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs, set deadlines, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Develop estimates for project deliverables and required resources based on established timelines.
  • Build and maintain a clear dashboard of upcoming, in-flight, and on-deck projects, including actual and planned resource allocations.
  • Track project timelines from onset through final delivery and gather feedback from project owners to inform future programs and process refinements.
  • Continually learn the needs of the business to deepen understanding of overall objectives.
  • Support stakeholders with Workfront processes, and review or author creative briefs to ensure shared understanding of objectives and deliverables.
  • Proactively manage multiple projects in close partnership with the creative services traffic manager, identifying risks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Manage deadlines and keep teams accountable to timelines.
  • Provide consistent, timely feedback, project updates, and guidance to team members.
  • Host weekly project meetings with team members and managers.
