About The Position

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Marketing Project Lead to join the Carolinas division in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our business development, project delivery, and client engagement efforts. In this role, you will develop compelling, client-focused narratives that translate complex construction strategies and delivery approaches into clear, engaging messaging for projects ranging from $10 million to $500 million. This position offers a strong runway for continued professional development, learning, and long-term career growth, with exposure to a diverse portfolio of complex, high-value, marquee projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of marketing or design experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with and utilizing Adobe InDesign to create and manage marketing and proposal collateral.
  • Demonstrated consultative approach, with the ability to guide, advise, and influence leaders and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing marketing collateral across multiple formats, with strong skills in copywriting, photo editing, page layout, and presentation development.
  • Ability to manage projects individually with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting marketing efforts within the construction, engineering, or AEC industry.
  • Prior experience with proposal development and graphic design.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Experience with data and content management systems, including CRM or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and award submissions, including research, writing, layout, and design.
  • Develop persuasive, client-focused proposal content that requires minimal revision.
  • Maintain and manage marketing assets such as project fact sheets, resumes, client testimonials, and databases.
  • Review, proofread, and quality-check proposals and marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and impact.
  • Contribute to press releases, newsletters, and other internal and external communications.
  • Provide creative and project coordination support, including graphics development, event coordination, and vendor management.
  • Represent the company professionally at industry events and association activities.
