Base is looking for an excellent operator to help scale the systems behind our customer acquisition engine. This role is responsible for increasing the speed, intelligence, and effectiveness of how marketing operates. You will drive experimentation across lifecycle, referrals, customer engagement, and operational workflows, while building the systems, automation, and infrastructure that make that experimentation scalable. You will identify bottlenecks, design better systems, implement automation, improve measurement, launch experiments, and operationalize new workflows across the business. In many cases, you will not just help define strategy, you will execute it directly. A major part of the role is lifecycle and customer engagement strategy. You will own how we engage customers across onboarding, activation, referrals, retention, and winback, continuously testing and improving performance through segmentation, messaging, incentives, timing, routing, and operational design. The ideal candidate is highly resourceful, systems-oriented, technically curious, and obsessed with finding leverage. You should be equally comfortable thinking strategically, digging through data, building workflows, launching experiments, and executing quickly in ambiguous environments.
