About The Position

AlphaSense is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to partner closely with Marketing Operations leadership to bring the vision for Marketo to life. This role plays a key part in how lifecycle, lead scoring, routing, and campaign frameworks are built, maintained, and optimized. The position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep expertise in Marketo to ensure the platform operates efficiently while enabling marketing teams to execute with speed and consistency. The manager will also work closely with campaign stakeholders to support program builds, troubleshoot issues, and uphold best practices across execution. This role sits at the core of how marketing scales, integrates, and drives measurable impact at AlphaSense. The successful candidate will help support the ownership and operational execution of the Marketo instance, translating strategy into scalable, high-performing systems and processes. This position offers the opportunity to influence how marketing automation scales within a growing organization while remaining deeply embedded in day-to-day operations. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, operational excellence, and strong collaboration, with comfort in owning complex systems while partnering closely with others to execute, improve, and scale. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of how marketing automation supports the full customer lifecycle are essential.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in marketing operations or marketing automation
  • Strong hands-on experience with Marketo, including campaign builds, lifecycle processing, and system management
  • Experience supporting lead scoring, routing, and lifecycle frameworks
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred) and marketing-to-sales processes
  • Familiarity with MAP (Marketo strongly preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage system integrations

  • Familiarity with our core marketing systems: Demand Base, Asana, Qualified, Mobly, Swoogo preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing Operations leadership to support the overall ownership and evolution of the Marketo instance
  • Execute the operational vision for Marketo, including lifecycle processing, lead scoring, routing logic, and system workflows
  • Build, maintain, and optimize smart campaigns, nurture programs, and operational processes that support scalable marketing execution
  • Support and maintain integrations between Marketo and CRM (Salesforce preferred) and other marketing tools
  • Monitor and troubleshoot sync issues, ensuring accurate and timely data flow across systems
  • Help maintain data integrity within Marketo through ongoing governance, normalization, and system checks
  • Support campaign builds across teams, including program setup, list imports, segmentation, and token population
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure campaigns are executed in alignment with best practices and operational standards
  • Troubleshoot campaign issues and provide hands-on support to keep programs running smoothly
