About The Position

J. Benton Construction is seeking an experienced Part-Time Marketing Manager to support JBC’s strategic marketing, communications, business development, and project marketing efforts. Working closely with the President and regional leadership, this role will provide strategic and hands-on marketing support across assigned projects and market sectors. The Marketing Manager will help strengthen the JBC brand, showcase project success, support business development initiatives, and build relationships with clients, architects, and industry partners. This position is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity. Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional marketing or communications experience.
  • Experience supporting business development, proposals, project marketing, or corporate communications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a part-time capacity.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop professional marketing materials and compelling project content.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • Construction marketing or business development experience.
  • Experience with construction proposals, qualifications packages, and project presentations.
  • Experience coordinating project photography, videography, awards, and milestone events.
  • Experience with website content management, social media, email marketing, or other digital platforms.
  • Strong journalism, editorial, or storytelling background.
  • Experience working with senior leadership, clients, architects, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and regional teams to identify and prioritize marketing needs and opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of regional marketing plans aligned with company priorities.
  • Stay informed of key projects, business priorities, milestones, and market opportunities.
  • Provide strategic marketing support for high-profile projects, pursuits, and specialty opportunities.
  • Serve as a marketing resource and liaison for assigned regional offices and market sectors.
  • Partner with project teams to identify opportunities to showcase J. Benton’s work, people, and capabilities.
  • Coordinate project photography, videography, milestone events, and other project-related marketing initiatives.
  • Develop project stories, announcements, and other content for internal and external communications.
  • Maintain accurate and relevant project information, photography, and content on the company website.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage project milestones, awards, and achievements to enhance J. Benton’s visibility.
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral, project profiles, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Support proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and strategic pursuits as needed.
  • Provide marketing and messaging support for high-priority opportunities.
  • Lead or support project and industry award submissions, including project selection, content development, and final review.
  • Ensure marketing materials and messaging are consistent with J. Benton’s brand and business objectives.
  • Support and coordinate regional, project, client, and industry events.
  • Partner with project teams and leadership on milestone events, ribbon cuttings, client engagements, and other opportunities.
  • Help develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen J. Benton’s presence within key markets and industry organizations.
  • Develop and coordinate project-related content for social media and J. Benton News.
  • Support email marketing and other digital communications initiatives.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual standards across marketing materials.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to develop high-quality marketing content.
  • Serve as a trusted marketing partner to leadership, regional teams, project teams, and business development.
  • Manage multiple marketing projects and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to move projects from concept through completion.
  • Work independently, prioritize effectively, and proactively identify opportunities to support the business.
