About The Position

Rover is seeking an Influencer & Affiliate Marketing Manager, US and International, to lead the paid and performance side of its influencer and affiliate programs across the US, Canada, UK, and emerging EU markets. The role owns the affiliate channel, drives performance-focused creator and partner work alongside Brand Social, and manages supporting agencies. Reporting to the Growth Director, the position connects performance marketing, brand storytelling, and community, with a focus on acquiring new customers while increasing awareness and maintaining a cohesive brand experience. The role will help shape Rover’s evolving approach to creators and community and collaboration between Paid and Brand Social. Its core areas are performance-driven partnerships, affiliate marketing, creator programs, and paid amplification, with potential to expand into team and league partnerships, mobile, and international performance strategy as business priorities develop. This is a hybrid position requiring work from Rover’s Downtown Seattle office at least two days per week, on Mondays and Thursdays. Candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area or willing to relocate.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in influencer and affiliate marketing, managing combined budgets of $5 million or more, with a record of balancing direct-response and brand metrics.
  • Experience executing programs across the US and international regions, specifically Canada, the UK, and the EU.
  • Ability to present to senior stakeholders and translate platform and network terminology into concise, high-level recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience also counts. A master’s degree in a quantitative or business field is a plus.
  • Direct experience selecting and managing influencer and affiliate agencies, running RFP processes, validating agency work, and holding partners accountable for results.
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate networks, tracking platforms, and creator management tools, such as Rakuten, Impact, or CreatorIQ, or similar tools.
  • Deep affiliate knowledge, including partner types, commission models, fraud risks, and how to distinguish partners that drive new customers from those that capture existing demand.
  • Direct experience working with creators, understanding usage rights, and distinguishing paid social, paid partnerships, and whitelisting.
  • Experience with ecommerce or marketplace brands and fluency in funnel metrics such as ROAS, CAC, LTV, and eCPM, as well as brand health metrics such as awareness and consideration.
  • Hands-on experience with geo-uplift testing, MMM, and multi-touch attribution, and the ability to turn results into action.
  • A data-backed point of view on influencer and affiliate best practices and the confidence to advocate for it.
  • Strong grasp of the customer journey and the importance of consistency across creator, organic, and paid touchpoints.
  • Fluency in FTC disclosure requirements and platform and network policies for creator, affiliate, and whitelisted content, with working knowledge of UK and EU rules.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work with Brand Social, Brand/Creative, and Marketing Data Science, communicating effectively with creative and data audiences.
  • Comfort with evolving scope and shifting priorities, ownership, and team structure; ability to remain effective and constructive as business needs change.
  • Experience using scripts, Python, SaaS tools, and/or AI to improve workflow automation and create capacity gains.
  • Genuine curiosity and interest in learning and challenging one’s own thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pet or on-demand marketplace brands.
  • Experience with ambassador, community, or talent partnerships.
  • Experience with performance partnerships, co-marketing, or mobile marketing.
  • A master’s degree in a quantitative or business field.

Responsibilities

  • Own new-customer goals for influencer and affiliate across the US, Canada, UK, and emerging EU markets; contribute to awareness goals and keep customer acquisition cost within each channel’s LTV-based payback target.
  • Set the strategy for the affiliate content and performance partnership-based channel, including performance PR and CPA influencer partnerships; manage partners, recruit and onboard new partners, set commissions and incentives, determine investment, and test hybrid flat-fee and performance-pay deals.
  • Protect the affiliate program from fraud, promo code abuse, and policy violations through tracking, monitoring, and partner audits with agency support.
  • Own paid amplification of top-performing creator content through whitelisting and partnership ads, including audience targeting, media strategy, and campaign planning; coordinate with Brand Social on a shared campaign strategy.
  • Partner with Brand Social on creator selection and relationship management; review agency recommendations and, as needed, source, vet, and contract creators, negotiating rates, deliverables, exclusivity, and usage rights with Legal and Finance.
  • Partner with Brand Social to build and manage a tiered influencer program, from nano and micro creators at volume to proven creators using trackable links, with criteria for creator progression between tiers.
  • Partner on the creator experience, including briefs, content approvals, and timely payments.
  • Amplify community and creator content through paid media where it supports goals, working with Brand Social and Community teams.
  • Share agency management with Brand Social; lead day-to-day conversations with influencer and affiliate agency partners in areas of focus and hold them accountable for strategy, execution, and performance.
  • Contribute to RFPs and agency selection for influencer and affiliate agencies and platform vendors by defining requirements, evaluating proposals, and recommending partners.
  • Own influencer and affiliate reporting, turning CAC, ROAS, eCPM, reach, and engagement metrics into recommendations for leadership.
  • Own the paid influencer and affiliate testing roadmap; propose and run incrementality tests with Marketing Analytics teammates, using geo-uplift studies and MMM to assess which spend drives new customers rather than organic or brand-halo effects.
  • Own compliance for affiliate and paid creator content, including contract terms, disclosure language, content review, and ongoing monitoring; align standards with Brand Social.
  • Support talent and ambassador partnerships with Brand, Creative, and Community teams as the program evolves; evaluate fit, structure performance-based terms, and work with talent agencies when needed.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and take on adjacent performance opportunities such as performance partnerships, team and league opportunities, mobile, and international performance strategy.
