About The Position

Rover is hiring a Marketing Manager, Affiliate and Creator to lead the paid and performance side of its influencer and affiliate programs across the US, Canada, the UK, and emerging EU markets. The role owns the affiliate channel, drives performance-focused creator and partner work with Brand Social, and manages supporting agencies. Reporting to the Growth Director, the position combines performance marketing, brand storytelling, and community, with a focus on acquiring new customers while growing awareness and maintaining a cohesive brand experience across marketing touchpoints. The role will help shape how Paid and Brand Social collaborate as Rover expands its creator and community programs. Its core focus is performance-driven partnerships, affiliate marketing, creator programs, and paid amplification, with potential to expand into team and league partnerships, mobile, and international performance strategy. This is a hybrid position requiring work from Rover’s Downtown Seattle office two days per week, Mondays and Thursdays. Candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area or willing to relocate.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in influencer and affiliate marketing, managing combined budgets of $5 million or more, with a record of balancing direct-response and brand metrics.
  • Experience executing programs in the US and international regions, specifically Canada, the UK, and the EU.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience is accepted. A master’s degree in a quantitative or business field is a plus.
  • Experience selecting and managing influencer and affiliate agencies, running RFP processes, validating agency work, and holding partners accountable for results.
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate networks, tracking platforms, and creator-management tools such as Rakuten, Impact, or CreatorIQ, or similar platforms.
  • Deep affiliate expertise, including partner types, commission models, fraud risks, and identifying partners that drive new customers versus capture existing demand.
  • Direct experience working with creators, including understanding usage rights and the distinctions between paid social, paid partnerships, and whitelisting.
  • Experience with ecommerce or marketplace brands and fluency in funnel metrics such as ROAS, CAC, LTV, and eCPM, as well as brand-health metrics such as awareness and consideration.
  • Hands-on experience with geo-uplift testing, MMM, and multi-touch attribution, and the ability to translate results into action.
  • Strong, data-backed views on influencer and affiliate best practices and the ability to advocate for them.
  • Understanding of the customer journey and the importance of consistency across creator, organic, and paid customer touchpoints.
  • Fluency in FTC disclosure requirements and platform and network policies for creator, affiliate, and whitelisted content, with working knowledge of UK and EU rules.
  • Ability to collaborate across Brand Social, Brand/Creative, and Marketing Data Science, adapting communication to creative and data audiences.
  • Adaptability and effectiveness as role scope, priorities, ownership, and team structure evolve.
  • Experience using scripts, Python, SaaS tools, and/or AI to automate workflows and improve capacity.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and challenge existing thinking.

  • Experience with ambassador, community, or talent partnerships.
  • Experience with performance partnerships, co-marketing, or mobile marketing.
  • A master’s degree in a quantitative or business field.

Responsibilities

  • Own new-customer goals for influencer and affiliate marketing across the US, Canada, the UK, and emerging EU markets, contribute to awareness goals, and manage CAC against channel LTV-based payback targets.
  • Set the strategy for the affiliate content and performance-partnership channel, including performance PR and CPA-based influencer partnerships.
  • Recruit and onboard affiliate partners; set commissions and incentives; allocate investment among partner types; and test hybrid flat-fee and performance-pay deals.
  • Protect the affiliate program from fraud, promo-code abuse, and policy violations through tracking, monitoring, and partner audits with agency support.
  • Own paid amplification of high-performing creator content through whitelisting and partnership ads, including audience targeting, media strategy, and campaign planning.
  • Align campaign strategy with Brand Social so launches tell a consistent story across customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with Brand Social on creator selection and relationship management; source, vet, and contract creators as needed; and negotiate rates, deliverables, exclusivity, and usage rights with Legal and Finance.
  • Build and manage a tiered influencer program with Brand Social, from high-volume nano and micro creators to proven creators using trackable links, with clear criteria for progression between tiers.
  • Support the creator experience through briefs, content approvals, and timely payments.
  • Amplify community and creator content through paid media when it supports program goals, working with Brand Social and Community teams.
  • Share agency management with Brand Social; lead day-to-day conversations with influencer and affiliate agencies in the role’s areas of focus and hold them accountable for strategy, execution, and performance.
  • Contribute to RFPs and agency and platform-vendor selection by defining requirements, evaluating proposals, and recommending partners.
  • Own influencer and affiliate reporting, translating CAC, ROAS, eCPM, reach, and engagement metrics into recommendations for leadership.
  • Own the paid influencer and affiliate testing roadmap; propose and run incrementality tests with Marketing Analytics teammates using geo-uplift studies and MMM to determine which spend drives new customers rather than organic or brand-halo effects.
  • Own compliance for affiliate and paid creator content, including contract terms, disclosure language, content review, and ongoing monitoring, coordinating with Brand Social to keep standards consistent.
  • Support talent and ambassador partnerships with Brand, Creative, and Community teams by evaluating fit, structuring performance-based terms, and working with talent agencies when needed.
