About The Position

The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping execute and implement marketing projects and materials to support the experiential marketing team. This individual will support Event Leads on various events ranging in size and scope. Areas of support include technical demo support through audio-video needs, equipment guidance, and testing, inbound and outbound logistics specifically oriented for tradeshows and events, and adhering to internal processes and guidelines. This position requires the ability to frequently lift, carry and move materials weighing 25-50 lbs. Additional responsibilities include warehouse organization, project management, agency/vendor coordination, and working cross-functionally within marketing and other departments within Qualcomm. This role will be based in San Diego, in office.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in marketing or business or 3-5 years industry experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving commercial electronics, power-related problems, and network connectivity/configuration.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues before they occur.
  • Research, procure, install and test hardware (backdrops, signage, and products) for tradeshows and events
  • Collaborate with team members, internal stakeholders and vendors on the planning and execution of events.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet and exceed internal stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to provide organized, meaningful solutions under time sensitive conditions.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Supports event leads on larger, more complex projects within a team environment (pre-planning and/or onsite).
  • Oversee all aspects of technical and logistical support for event functions, ready to step into any role as needed due to client requests or changes in event conditions.
